the great gatsby is one of my favorite books of all time, right up there with catcher in the rye. it’s basically required reading for any american high school student and it chronicles the lives of a wealthy social circuit as seen through the eyes of nick carraway. mr. gatsby is a very well off resident of west egg and nobody knows very much about him. he’s a mysterious character with a secret love for daisy buchanan whom he fell in love with years before. the novel tells the story of their affair dotted with scenes of the rich and glamorous. however mysterious he is, there is no denying that jay gatsby is a well moneyed american royal type.
1: casual on west egg: coat by billy reid, scarf by gant by michael bastian, sweater by ferragamo, jeans by bottega veneta, shoes by dries van noten, bag by gilded age
2: party at gatsby mansion: paul smith head to toe
3: gasp, gatsby is a bootlegger: coat by michael bastian, shirt, tie and cardigan by gilded age, jeans by billy reid, vintage boots
